Using a sibelus demo version and the opensource Jazzware program, I'm able to write and display and play midi files corresponding to some scales(keys) I'd like to learn to play in. There's a nice open source linux program: noteedit (something like that) but no windows version.

Possibility: once I learn a song, or maybe three (memorized) spend a certain amount of time each week playing in the subway to get experience!

It was a pain trying to find programs that would do the job. I thought it would be much easier. and ended up rushing out of work 15 minutes after the building was supposed to close.

Managed to get new food and over ate on soy flakes as expected (somewhat)...
