Life
Life has no meaning
Life has meaning only because we die.
Life has no meaning.
This is hopelessness. This is the realization that thought and action lead nowhere.
What makes us human and not animal is the realization and expression of this hopelessness.


Hope is the feeling that the future will be better. Hoplessness is the absence of this feeling.

This could mean the presence of the thought that the future will be worse. This kind of hopelessness is terminal; not characteristic of living humans.

Or the presence of the feeling that nothing is better than the present moment. With no thought of either the past or the future.

Living consists of living entirely in the present with no thought of past or future.
Living consists of being together with others with no thought of past or future.

Our path of action is clear. To have this commitment to the present, we must be hopeless. To be hopeless, we must not be oppressed. The path of action is to be together with other people in the expression of this hoplessess in concentration entirely on the present.

Why be together with hopelessness? Why not concentrate on the present alone?
