I'm on 18th and a little past 8th ave waiting for someone to give me hard time for laying in an alcove near a school typing this, while I wait for K Stearns and Boyfriend. To arrive with a truck, assuming they do, at which point I shall help them unload it into their apt. at 306 W 18th st.

In the meantime what shall I do.

There were 4 new ads on loot, I have not checked. Perhaps nothing useful, but one never knows.

There are far too many white people down here. for my taste. I don't feel special any more.

I feel like I'm in suburban NoVa.

It smells like someone pissed near here. I'm sure they have.

White poseurs bother me.
and white people up in non-white land are not likely to be poseurs.

Of course If I had reached the highest state of enlightenment I could love the white poseurs as much as the non poseurs while  still knowing that the non-poseurs are better.

The definition is easy: exhibiting a visible concern with image in an unoriginal way. I.e., you've seen that before. I don't wish to dwell on this, so I shall not give any examples.

As it is, though, I make enough money. While I like python, I'm not sure I wish to be a programmer. My ambition is to not work for money, while at the same time not living off the tax dole. However, I currently live off the tax dole since my job is NSF-funded... I don't wish to be directly on welfare.

For the development of Zope3, Tres Seaver at ZC launched a concept called "sprints", based on ideas from the extreme programming (XP) community. A sprint is a two or three day focused development session, in which developers pair in a room and focus on building a particular subsystem.

This model has worked well for the initial ZC-only sprints. We'd like to open the sprinting to include members of the Zope community. This helps accomplish the goal of getting Zope3 developed. Additionally, though, this establishes leadership in the community by sharing development approaches, intense sessions of focused communication on a topic, and explaining in person the Zope3 development model.

A sprint is organized with a coach, such as Jim Fulton, leading the session. The coach sets the agenda, uses the whiteboard to track activities, and keeps the development moving. The developers work in pairs using XP's pair programming approach. One of the pairs needs to be a veteran sprinter, and both need Zope and Python experience. Some sprints are focused on a specific topic, like internationalization or cataloging.
