notes:
naming scheme of 'yyyy-mm-dd-hhmm' does notwork well with dtml-var-
we may now be moveing to page templates which seem a bit more robust, and perhaps straightforward?

(1)convert to RGB or greyscale
(2) crop
(3)resize/scale image
