Zeitgeist

I am writing this letter for everyone I know. I will send it out over email to most of you, but I will be mailing it to Lynn, Kyle, Jackson, Pilar, Bill Jensen, perhaps the Waldbilligs and others. The people on this list are people who at one time or another I have seen, or at least talked to on the phone. Some of you I don’t know very well at all.

The contents of this letter include:

• I. What is zeitgeist?
• II. Why am I writing this to you?
• II. A perception of the historical moment
• III. A perception of the basic characteristic of the zeitgeist and who expresses it.
• IV. hypothesized effects of this zeitgeist.
• V. What do you think?

First I will present a list of the books and the people which/who have led me to believe that there is something new and wonderful happening. This list will include first those who embody the change, and second those who have stated the problem. There are many others who could be added to this list, but I am not yet aware of them.
